He said it would be safe, didn't warn me about the danger. He was taking me somewhere that was supposed to be beautiful. We started walking. We came to a body of water that seemed crystal blue, idyllic. He took off ahead of me, moving through the water easily - he never made a splash- towards a location he hadn't told me how to get to. When we got to the start of the journey, I saw other people were on the same path, out in the water. He yelled back at me to mind my step when getting into the water. My only warning. I rushed after him, splashing though the water. Shortly after getting into the water, I felt sharp, singing pain. I noticed these almost translucent worms were floating all around, biting at me. I swallowed my revulsion and fear and kept swimming towards him, trying to find him. I finally got through the water and came to what looked like a canyon, with a walkway flanked by ledges. I saw a man standing up on the ledge, everyone else was in the lowered center. For some reason, I followed the man that had chosen the higher path. I climbed up and starting to ask him what was happening, as I kept my eyes on Skylar's back that grew farther and farther away. Suddenly, boulders rolled into the pathway. The first was small and the people jolted out of the way. The next was so large that it wasn't possible to get away from it. I forced myself not to look, but I knew the people in the path had been crushed. I remember my fear and my confusion. I remember thinking how Skylar hadn't told me anything about this path, about the dangers. The entire time I was still trying to get to him. Risking myself with no warning to get to him. How he'd said it would be beautiful and ran off so lightly, so care free. The man on the ledge ducked into a small, hidden walkway. He motioned for me to follow, it was unspoken but understood he was trying to help keep me safe, to show me how to get to where Skylar was going without the danger of the boulders and whatever may come next. I followed him and it led to stairs. The stairs led directly into what appeared to be the man's home. He made no explanation, even as I expressed fear and confusion. He ignored me, and left me sitting on a beach in a cozy, quiet, dimly lit part of the cave home. He bustled about, I think making tea. I just remember the end of the dream was me sitting there, finally safe, panicking and thinking desperately, over and over, I WANT SKYLAR. WHERE IS SKYLAR?
